| << PRESS RELEASE Roadmender to show large photographic exhibition. The work of photographer Luke Harby is to go on show at the Roadmender, Northampton from Monday 15th November. The photographs were taken in the summer of 2003, during a trip to Finland, Lapland and the most North-Easterly part of Norway. At this time of year daylight is present for 24 hours. Some of the images were taken at midnight or in the early hours of the morning. The show comprises 21 large colour photographs which all measure 24" x 20". The images are very formal and border on the abstract. Rendered in sumtuous colours, they are predominantly photographs of landscapes, which try and capture the austerity of Northern Scandinavia, as well as interiors, many from architecturally significant buildings. The private view will be held on Thursday 18th Novemeber 7.30PM onwards. All works are for sale, please contact the artist directly for further information [lharby@slackwise.org]. The artist would like to thank the Arts Council, who provided a generous grant without which the work could not have been realised. Thanks also to University College Northampton for the use of their darkrooms. More information can be found at http://slackwise.org/north or http://www.roadmender.org
