The following route was taken through Finland and Norway:

Helsinki to Rovaniemi via airplane.
Rovaniemi to Sodankylä via campervan.
Sodankylä to Bugøynes.
Bugøynes to Hammingberg via Vardø.

Vardø is the most easterly town in Norway, and the only one that lies within the Arctic Climate Zone. The average seasonal temperature does not exceed 10°C.

Due to the northerly latitude of Scandinavia and the natural tilt of the earth, the sun does not set throughout the summer months allowing for 24 hour sunlight.
